Just The Tip: How To Store Half An Avocado

In news that will come as a shock to absolutely no one…I FUCKING LOVE AVOCADOS. In a deep, aggressive way that necessitates caps and profanity.

As a die-hard avocado enthusiast and (self-proclaimed) queen of the avocado rose, I consume the fruit pretty much every day. However, I rarely use a whole avocado (despite my appreciation for healthy fat, I think a full avo a day is a little excessive), which means I’m perpetually storing avocado halves for future meals/roses. Over the years, I’ve tried pretty much every single avocado storage trick in the book—from plastic wrap mummification to nestling the thing in a Ziplock alongside half an onion—but despite my best efforts, nasty brown spots always managed to creep in.

Then, a few months ago, I stumbled across a foolproof storage hack that completely changed my life, and my second-day avocado toast, forever. This simple trick keeps my avocado halves green and pristine for up to 3 full days in the fridge, and I’m thrilled to share the magic with you in today’s action-packed episode of #JustTheTip.

This one’s a game changer, friends. Watch and learn.

p.s. Were you aware that avocado is a fruit? Knowledge bomb.
