30 Winning Game Day RecipesI’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, football makes my eyes bleed.

There were about two hours a few years ago when I thought I might actually understand the rules and get into the game, which I have to say was rather thrilling. But that was only because I was at an actual NFL game with my roommate, my phone was dead, and I had literally nothing else to do than listen to Logan explain things like downs and extra points. I was also drunk. I probably would have been equally interested in the Westminster Dog Show (reminder: I’m not a huge dog fan) or competitive badminton under those conditions.

Anyhoo, despite my well-documented distaste for fooseball, I LOVE the Super Bowl for even more well-documented reasons: Food! Booze! Dudes! I’ve been feeling a little exhausted of late, so I shall not be hosting a Game Day soirée this year, but if you think I won’t be eating Buffalo fingies, drinking a bucket of beer, and passing out on my roommate in between commercials, you’re clearly new here. (Welcome!)

Whether your plans are similar to mine or involve entertaining a boatload of football crazies enthusiasts, I imagine you’ll be needing some dank feasting options come Sunday. For proud owners of The Dude Diet, there’s an entire CHAPTER devoted to Game Day Eats I recommend perusing, but I’ve also rounded up my very best blog offerings below. From chili and tacos to fingies and sliders, there’s a little something for everyone this weekend (even the vegetarians/vegans/gluten-free peeps).

Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose! Roll Tide! Touchdown! Etc., etc.

Hi!! Last minute planning (it’s a gift)… Any ideas on how to make the buffalo chicken tenders gluten free? Could I use a rice cereal like the sriracha honey mustard chicken tendies? I know you are out of town for THE super bowl so no worries if you don’t see this until Monday!

I’m beyond inspired by the game day section of the DD opus.
Before I do something irreversible to the 3 pounds of raw wings in my fridge, could it possibly be true that the Fiery Ginger Wings are skin-on?
It seems too good to be real, so wanted to check before stripping them naked and roasting to a golden brown.
How fantastic to have a recipe that uses the ginger beer required for Moscow mule production!
    You rock, sistah.

YES to mules and chicken wings!!!
I hope I’m not too late to save your wingies right now–they should be skin on! That’s how they get nice and crispy (and baking them on the rack allows some of the fat to drip off).
      GODSPEED, and happy feasting! xox
