Just The Tip: How To Cook Perfect Bacon
Every once in a while you’re taught to do something really, truly amazing and it changes your life forever. The effect on your existence is so profound that you can’t even fathom how you survived before acquiring said skill, and you feel the need to share your knowledge with everyone you know (and on the internet).
For me, such earth-shattering life lessons included learning how to:
- Burp the alphabet. (I haven’t done it in at least a decade, but I’ll always be proud of that skill. Thanks, Dad.)
- Do “tousled waves.” (God bless the curling wand.)
- Make rosé sangria.
- Curl my eyelashes. (GAMECHANGER.)
- Human pretzel.
- Faux-tisserie a chicken.
- Flip my roommate when he’s death snoring. (If you shove your forearm right under someone’s rib cage, they roll right over. Magic!)
- Whip up my own buttermilk in 10 minutes.
- Make perfect, crispy bacon every single time.
While you may not be interested in acquiring all of the aforementioned life skills (whatever), the ability to cook perfect bacon is an absolute necessity. And that, friends, is exactly what I’m teaching you to do in today’s episode of Just The Tip. If you’re not already familiar with the oven method, stop everything you’re doing and watch this video immediately. Enlightenment is just a click away…
And lest you need a little bacon inspo, I’ve rounded up my favorite recipes featuring everyone’s favorite pork product below. I even threw in some photos because it’s Friday, and you may be bored at work/in a car/at the airport.
