Shut Up And Smoothie: C-Blast Smoothie (aka Strawberry Julius)

Happy Shut Up and Smoothie day, you sexy beasts.

Not to be a total cliché, but the holidays really snuck up on me this year, and I’m freaking out just the teeniest bit. My book manuscript is due in T-26 days (insert endless string of profanities), I don’t have the faintest clue what to get my parents for Christmas (insert more profanities), and I haven’t been able to watch Elf or Love Actually yet (that one deserves an actual “fuck”). I also feel a cold coming on.

In short, OUR PETS’ HEADS ARE FALLING OFF.

Anyone else feeling a little holiday stress? (Anyone? Bueller?) If so, remember: you are not alone. (I am here with youuuu.) December is hands down the craziest month of the year, and God knows our bods need a little extra TLC to keep up. I’m all for giant bowls of kale and pots of chicken soup, but for a quick pick-me-up, this vegan C-Blast Smoothie has become my winter go-to. It’s bursting with vitamin C, and I can wholeheartedly vouch for both its cold/flu fighting powers and hangover reducing capabilities. Plus, it tastes like an old school Strawberry Julius, which is obviously bomb. Childhood nostalgia for everyone!

Make it. (If you’re a visual learner, I demonstrate the super complicated process in the video above.)

Blogger’s Note: I lie to you in the video when I say coconut oil has omega-3s. It does not. Howeva, it does have other healthy medium-chain fatty acids that improve your brain, heart, and digestive health!

p.s. There’s still time to enter the holiday GIVEAWAY to win a KitchenAid Precision Press Coffee Maker and a 3-month subscription to Hatchery!

I’m looking at this picture and feel a pregnancy craving coming on. Need to make this ASAP! (And by “make,” I mean need to send list of ingredients to my husband so he can go buy them and make it. Come on guys, my back hurts.)
